Lorenzo Senatore was Born in London, March 2, 1974. Just few months old moved with his family to the United States where he grew up until age of 5 then moved to Rome, Italy.
Studied Cinematography at the Cinema School Roberto Rossellini in Rome, then started working very young in the Italian Movie business. After few years experience as camera assistant he then moved to operating camera and steadicam.
Being one of the youngest steadicam and camera operator in Italy at the age of 25 he decided to follow his passion for action movies and move his attention to American production coming to the East Europe
This gave him the chance to start very young as Director of Photography, and now after 20 years in the business he has experience on more than 60 features Rilms as director of Photography, camera operator and steadicam operator collaborating with some of the greatest directors and DPs including Peter Weir, Russel Boyd, Bruce Beresford, Dante Spinotti, James Mc Tigue, Simon Duggan,Bill Condon, Kevin Reynolds, Neil Marshall and Rod Lurie.
In 2016 Lorenzo Senatore was honored with the “The Golden Light Meter” award from the International Cinematographers Award Gianni DI Venanzo for best foreign cinematography on the movie “Risen” directed by Kevin Reynolds.
